During 2019 and 2020 the churches in our Circuit raised funds for Christian Aid’s Iraq and Lebanon Project. Our target was to raise £5,000 in total by the end of 2020 which would be matched 6:1 by Bread for the World, a US charity aimed at ending hunger.
Not surprisingly, the pandemic blew things off course last year and a number of fundraising activities had to be cancelled. However, along with a final push for donations towards the end of last year we have not only met, but exceeded the target.
The final amount raised comes to £6,741, a very creditable total!
