Greenford Methodist Church Coronation Celebration

We had one of our biggest attendances in church for a long time on May 7th, in celebration of the coronation of King Charles III. We decorated the church with flags and bunting inside and outside in front of the church. Tables and chairs were set up in front of the church before the Sunday morning service.

The service was led by church stewards and volunteers and Local Preacher Philip Male shared the sermon. Everyone then rallied together to set up tables laying them with a range of delicious delights including homemade cup-cakes and scones.

This is the day that the Lord has made we will rejoice and be glad in it.’

After recent global events that have meant that gatherings have been limited, it was great to see so many people gathered together, rekindling friendships and sharing food, songs, and fun together.

Great to be part of this amazing moment in history.
